Wood Venetian Blind Stack Guide
With wooden venetian blinds there is a consideration you may
need to make regarding the “stack”. The stack is the depth of
the slats on the blind when it is pulled all the way up.
If your window has a fanlight at the top or your room is
particularly dark and you want to pull the blind up to let more
light in, rather than just control the light by controlling the
angle of the venetian blind slats, then the following guide
will give you an indication of how much room the blind will
take.
The stack is reduced with 50mm slats with 50mm slats because
you need less slats to cover the drop when the blind is closed,
so this may be the better option if you don’t have room at the
top of the window.

The measurement stated includes the headrail and bottom rail,
ie from the very top of the blind to the bottom.
